Participants learn how to acknowledge, understand, and manage their anxiety. They discover how to recognise the triggers, and then mitigate the physical and emotional impact that can ensue. There is also the ability to learn about some of the less healthy coping strategies sometimes relied upon and how to replace these with healthier alternatives.
By the end of the workshop, they will have a useful toolbox of strategies that enable them to develop healthy habits for tackling the stresses from which they suffer.
The workshop does involve working in small groups to consider ways to put theory and strategies into practice. However, participants are free to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable sharing with others.
